Camberley Craft Café Comes to St Mary’s
Camberley Craft Café started in September 2014 as a means of providing an affordable craft group as well as an opportunity to meet with others for friendship and a chance for time out from our busy and stressed lives!
After outgrowing our original venue we are delighted to be welcomed to St Mary’s and would love others to join us.
We are a friendly, welcoming and informal group. The idea is that people come along and they can either bring a craft project they are working on at home, buy a very reasonably priced craft kit or use some of our free resources which we bring along each time we meet.
We are a drop in group, so you can come and go as you please. There’s no hefty membership fee, just a contribution of £1.50 when you come along. We are non-profit making and we use the money we make to run specialist workshops every other month.
One of the greatest joys of the group is its diversity. We have people of all ages and abilities, from all walks of life, doing a range of crafts – we’ve everything from lace making to sugar crafting, and you won’t be out of place if all you want to do is come along and relax with some colouring in. We swap ideas and resources and help each other learn new skills too. Most people that have joined us have come by themselves in the first instance – we are very friendly so don’t be shy.
Please feel free to join us – even if you aren’t crafty! We meet fortnightly on Thursday evenings, from 7.30 to 10pm, contact the church office for session dates. Fee is £1.50, tea/coffee is 50p and we have cakes too!
