Alzheimer Cafe Launch

22nd September 2014 at St Mary’s

Over 100 people attended the recent launch of the Alzheimer Café at St Mary’s.  After opening speeches from Rev Andrew Knowles, Vicar at St Mary’s, Mayor of Surrey Heath Councillor Bob Paton, Bishop Ian Brackley and Bishop Conry, Dr Gemma Jones gave an illustrated explanation about the different forms of dementia and how folk with Alzheimer can best be supported.

Meeting on the third Monday of each month, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm in the Hall at St Mary’s, the café offers a friendly and relaxed atmosphere for families and professionals to share their feelings, discuss problems, give and receive support, and gain useful information.

The sessions are completely free.
